After several months of waiting for my buddy to return to Malaysia, we finally met up and did something both of us enjoy doing, taking photos. Both us are neither professional photographer nor professional model. I used to joke with my friends that this (photography) is probably the only creative side of a law student. We do it just for the fun of it. This time we decided to try some very different. No more castle as venue. No more cowgirl or skater girl. We intended it to be a Gothic theme. The result look more like vampire theme.
Wan Chi was really well prepared for this outing. The clothing, the accessories, the make up, etc. So much of preparation was done on her part to the point that it kinda put the pressure on me to play my part to the fullest of my potential. One wouldn't want to disappoint others by performing badly when others have took the trouble and hassle to prepare for the outing.
This is probably the first shot that we took. We were trying to take as many shot at as many location as possible knowing that we were running on very limited camera battery.

| Sexy back? Haha |
After doing so many 'photo shoot' together, we learnt to explore the possibility of taking photos from more than one angle, not only from the front. Hence, we tried taking several shots from the back and the above photo is one of them. I certainly did not dictate the way she was suppose to stand or the direction that she was suppose to look. Everything was free and easy. Both of us are very satisfied with the outcome.
Since so much of time and effort has been invested in preparing for this outing, we agreed to try various posses, which includes sitting down as well as lying on the grass. All this was discussed several days before the actual day. During our discussion, she (jokingly) said that now that she has agreed to lie on the grass (with a bare back clothing), I have to ensure that every shot I take is worth it. After walking almost the entire park, looking for a good green spot, Wan Chi kept her word and just went ahead and lie down on the grass.

One might begin to wonder why am I putting so much of emphasis on the fact that my buddy lied on the grass. In my humble opinion, not many girls would be willing to the same. There's hundred and one reasons for them to not to do so. Grass, dirt, soil, insect, etc. The discomfort that she has to put up with during and AFTER lying on the grass caused me to appreciate her contribution to this photo shoot even more. The only thing I regret is that I forgot to to take some shots by standing in front of her when she was on the grass. Who knows what the outcome would have been like.
This is one of our favourite photo. It is currently being used as her blog header.
Looking forward to many more adventure to come.
